Hebbe Falls is about 10 km. from Kemmangundi hill station and about 13 km. by a 4-wheel drive Jeep to the falls. The main USP of this fall is that it is located right in the middle of one of the many tea estates of Karnataka. If you plan a trip to Chikmagalur in August, it is also the best time to visit Hebbe Falls. There is no entry fee to visit the falls. However, for a jeep ride from Kemmangundi, around Rs. 4000 is charged per jeep for 6 to 8 people. Hebbe Falls can be visited from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary covers two entire districts in Chikmagaluru. Surrounded by hills of the Western Ghats on all sides, the view of the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary looks like a scene right out of a movie! Over 250 species of birds can be spotted, most of them endemic to the Western Ghats. The reserve also provides an opportunity for a 3.5 km long nature trail at Muthod. Since it is a Tiger Reserve, there are 30 Tigers and 20 leopards that can be spotted in Doddahadlu and Chandanahadlu. Boating safari is one the must things to do in Chikmagalur in the Bhadra reservoir.

Belavadi is a national heritage site set in the beautiful and scenic villages of Chikmagalur. The distance from Chikmagalur to Belavadi is 29 km. The village of Belavadi is believed to have a lot of historical significance due to the presence of the Veer Narayana temple which was constructed by the Hoysalas. It is also known for the legend of Belavadi Mallamma who was a fearless warrior and queen who fought against Shivaji, the Maratha King thereby winning his admiration in the 17th century AD.
