Monsoon is kicking in and so is the perfect season to visit Goa. With flight rates dropping down, and Goa being relatively less crowded; which is a rare sight – it’s the perfect time to get away to this tropical paradise.

The coastal state of Goa might be best known for its beaches, but Goa is much more than just beaches. There are a myriad of things one can do here during the blissful monsoons.

Visit Dudhsagar Falls

Waterfalls are one of the most beautiful sights to witness during monsoons. The tranquilness you will experience at this waterfall is truly unmatched!  So, July to October or during monsoon and after monsoon is an ideal time to visit this waterfall.

However, the water level is high during monsoon, thus you need to be very careful and take extra precautions while visiting this place. 

Goan Festivals

There are a bunch of festivals that the Goans celebrate in the monsoon season. Some of which are –

  • The St. Peters Fest – Takes place in July, known for its floating stages and upbeat music
  • Bonderam Fest – Happens in August, known for the amazing performances by local bands 
  • House Of Chapora – Located by the Chapora river, this upcycled space conducts regular fests. Known for its art, trendy music and their scrumptious food.
