Kalsubai stands tall at 5,400 feet, making it Maharashtra’s tallest peak and a must-visit place near Igatpuri for any trekker. The Kalsubai Trek is characterised by its difficult but rewarding trail that affords panoramic views of Sahyadri mountain range. Typically, the trek starts from Bari village at the base which is about six kilometres away from Igatpuri.

It is moderately tough for both beginners as well as experienced trekkers; hence they are good for those who want to start practising hiking activities. The piste has been marked throughout and iron ladders have been installed in order to avoid accidents especially during steep sections. While climbing up, one will find green forests full of various types of flowers with small streams running across them mostly in the rainy season. In addition, the peak overlooks Bhandardara backwaters plus other forts within Nashik making it one of the finest treks during monsoons.
