Deriving its name from the family’s cop lineage, Brickwood Hill is a holiday home quite literally nested amidst a canopy of trees. Tucked away from the prying eyes of otherwise buzzing Chandigarh, this estate is strategically located in the outskirts of the city, on a quaint hillock. From afar, at the first glance, this abode almost resembles a typical mountain home nestled in the hills, but when the golf buggy drives you up the stilt, that’s when realisation dawns that there’s more to this home than is led on - be it its postcard-perfect infinity pool, the adjoining jacuzzi, the alfresco seatings or the flourishing greenery.

THE SPACE 

It’s a discerning experience, right from the beginning - the drive to this massive estate features a few bumps on the road yet brings you to the most nonpareil holiday home. The parking lot is spacious; grand open spaces are sort of a norm throughout this home. Step onto the driveway, and watch the golf cart descend. From here on, strap yourself as you get ready for an otherworldly escape, away from the modern mundane woes. 

The upward slopes leading to the home are dotted with lush green bushes, radiant flowers and a bouquet of colours. The initial topography of the hillock remains untouched, with 5 levels of lawns, boasting alternate avenues of towering palms, among other greens and gazebos. The step format makes for unrivalled vantage points with each lawn overlooking the dramatic hills, mountains and Kasauli somewhere far away. 

The distinct concept of pillarless cottages, each serving a different purpose, is unseen yet refreshing. It is eschewed with exquisite taste, seen in the scattered pockets of family heirlooms and medallions. The family’s cop lineage is seen here too with each common space boasting a name of its own. 

The alfresco dining area lies in the centre, exuding its striking olden charm with its wrought-iron chairs, tables and collapsible umbrellas. On either side is the Commando House - the chandelier-clad dining room and the Special Ops Ground - the beautifully designed living room featuring artworks and aquariums. The buffet table - Cops Can Cook - lies right in front, whilst the bar - Tipsy Cop - is tucked away in a corner. 

Further up is the fully equipped gymnasium, engulfed in sweeping mountains and endless greenery. Blurring the lines between the blues and the greens beyond, the infinity pool and the adjoining jacuzzi are flanked by a soothing Buddha statue, a water fountain and loungers. The designated snooker room is a favourite, and the cherry on top is the curated collection of reads at your disposal. 

THE ROOMS 

The 4 bedrooms of this estate are laid out on the same level, in the form of independent themed cottages. Each room is thoughtfully ornamented with a distinct colour - red, yellow, premium blue and luxury blue - and this is meticulously followed, right from the curtains to the bed covers. 

Each bedroom is extravagant with its king-sized beds, ensuite baths, air-conditioners, Wi-Fi access and electric kettles. The focal point in these rooms is the presence of the vibrant sanduks, adding character to the rooms. The rooms open up to snug gardens, and offer stunning views. 

CULINARY DELIGHTS AND EXPERIENCES 
- Breakfast is complimentary. Beyond 10:30 AM, this service is chargeable.
- All other meals can be provided at an additional cost. Dinner services beyond 11:00 PM will be charged additionally at Rs. 1500 per hour.
- A barbeque kit/meal can be arranged at an extra charge.
- The aforementioned beverage offerings and events costs are subject to an 18% GST charge.
- Prices and items may vary subject to availability and peak season rates.
- Guests can access the ATV rides at an additional charge of Rs. 2500 per hour. For a minimum of 30 minutes, Rs. 1500 will be charged.
- The steam room, pool table, bar area, and outdoor fireplace can also be accessed by the guests for no extra charge.
-Any damages to the property will be chargeable.
-Using the swimming pool beyond 8:30 PM will be chargeable at an additional cost of Rs. 2500 per hour.
-A bonfire can be arranged for the guests at an additional cost of Rs. 1800 per hour.
-Additional visitors will be charged Rs. 2000 per person.

SCRIPT YOUR STAY - WHAT A DAY HERE WOULD LOOK LIKE

Get a taste of impeccable taste and incredible service - a day here is simply not enough! Days here are punctuated with sweet birdsongs greeting you every morning, as the sun rays slice through the windows. There is something quite charming about the North sun and your rooms will be flooded with it. Devour the best of meals - be it alfresco breakfasts, lazy lunches or sundowner dinners - after all, cops can cook! The curated collection of games is at your disposal; indulge in golf, pool, soft archery, darts, cards and croquet. A lap of the massive estate makes for an ideal morning walk whilst the gym is perfect for a much more intense workout. Come evening, we recommend taking a de-stressing soak in the private infinity pool and chill in the jacuzzi. In mood for some adventure? You might want to jump on the ATVs! End the night in the company of your loved ones, in the presence of your favourite cocktails, a lavish barbecue spread and a warm, soothing bonfire. 

GUEST ACCESS
The guests have access to the entire villa except for the kitchen.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
The host is not present at the property but is always accessible via call or message. A trained and responsible caretaker is present at the property to resolve any concerns and help you have a perfect stay.

STAFF ACCOMMODATION
We are able to provide accommodation for 10 members of your personal staff at an additional cost of Rs.1000 per person, per night. The cost for staff meals will align with that of adult meals, and an 18% GST charge will be added to these charges

Should you wish to drive down in your own car, secured parking space for 20 cars is available.

HOME TRUTHS & HOUSE RULES 
While we do promise you a welcoming home and a great stay, here are a few things we’d like to mention so as to ensure there are no unpleasant surprises later!
- Please note that the last 50 meters leading up to the villa may not be a concrete road.
- There are hens residing on the premises of the property, along with a friendly dog named Sugar. 
- In case of power outage, the generator can support all appliances for upto 24 hours.
- The caretaker stays at the premises of the same property.
- A Jio dongle will be available at the property, however, the network may vary subject to availability at any given time.
- Mobile networks such as Jio work fairly well here.
- Please be mindful and keep noise to a minimum after 10 PM.
- Alcohol consumption is allowed in designated areas only. Please do not carry food/drinks in and around the pool.
- Smoking is allowed in the exterior areas of the villa only.
- Children should be supervised while they are in or around the pool.
- We urge you to wear swimming attire in the pool and kindly shower before entering.
- Please provide a minimum of 12 hours prior notice while placing your order for your meals.
- Guests are earnestly requested to treat the home with care.
- Outside food is not allowed

POLICIES
- The full payment must be made for your booking to be confirmed.
- The number of guests must not exceed the count mentioned at the time of booking.
- Only the guests who have been accounted for are allowed at the villa.
- All guests must be able to share valid ID proofs when asked. This could be at the time of booking, and also upon arrival.
- All foreign nationals must be able to share their passport and visa details prior to their stay.
- Any damage to the property caused by the guest will be charged as per the actual cost of repair or replacement.
- Any illegal activity - including but not limited to prostitution and the use of narcotics - is strictly not permitted.
- Any commercial activity is strictly not permitted.
- A refundable deposit may be collected before check-in.
- This entire amount is refunded within 5 working days, provided the total number of guests does not increase and the check-out time is adhered to.
