Passed down to various generations, Sidhowal Lodge is the first house to be built in Shimla. Dating back to 1826, this two-centuries-old home is a sight to behold. A short walk away from the bustling Mall Road, the prime location is just a glimpse of this home. Adorned with ancient artefacts, antiquities and Persian rugs that add an unmistakable rustic charm, it also houses a manicured lawn and a cosy tea parlour serving as the ideal spot to unwind.

- There is a private living room that offers sofa-style seating for up to 8 people, a heater, Wi-Fi and a fireplace.

- There is a 400 sq. ft. shared lawn in front of the house, overlooking the mall road. It is equipped with benches and several sit-out spots.
KITCHEN
- Guests do not have access to the kitchen.
FOOD
- Breakfast is complimentary.
- All other meals can be provided in-house on an a la carte basis. Guests are requested to place their order 24 hours prior to check-in.
- Consumption of non-vegetarian food is allowed.
GUEST ACCESS
There are a total of 5 bedrooms on the property and guests have access to one bedroom and the common areas. Kindly note, the common areas will be shared and there could be other guests present. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, guests may have restricted access to any shared amenities.
INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
The host is not present at the property but is always accessible via call or message. A trained and responsible caretaker is present to resolve any concerns and help you have a perfect stay.
STAFF ACCOMMODATION
We are unable to provide accommodation for your personal staff.
ACTIVITIES
Within the property, guests can play indoor games like cards and ludo. Guests can relax by the fireplace and lounge in the living rooms. They can also venture out and explore the neighbourhood and the Mall Road.

HOME TRUTHS
While we do promise you a welcoming home and a great stay, here are a few things we’d like to mention so as to ensure there are no unpleasant surprises later!
- There are a total of 5 bedrooms out of which guests will only have access to 1 bedroom.
- The garden, common living area, dining area and tea parlour are shared and there could be other guests, apart from your group, present at the property.
-Please note that parking is subject to availability approximately 1.8 km away from the main villa and can be done at the guest's own risk.
- Guests can also park in any of the common parking areas of Shimla, take the Lift up to Mall Road, and walk the rest of the way. Alternatively, a cab can also be arranged.
- This is not a child-friendly property.
- This is not a pet-friendly property.
- In case of a power outage, the generator can support all the appliances for up to 24 hours.
- The caretaker stays on the premises of the same property.
- Guests can stay connected with complimentary Wi-Fi. Network is subject to availability at any given time.
- All mobile networks work fairly well here.
POLICIES
- The full payment must be made for your booking to be confirmed.
- The number of guests must not exceed the count mentioned at the time of booking.
- Only the guests who have been accounted for are allowed at the villa.
- All guests must be able to share valid ID proofs when asked. This could be at the time of booking, and also upon arrival.
- All foreign nationals must be able to share their passport and visa details prior to their stay.
- Any damage to the property caused by the guest will be charged as per the actual cost of repair or replacement.
- Any illegal activity - including but not limited to prostitution and the use of narcotics - is strictly not permitted.
- Any commercial activity is strictly not permitted.
- A refundable deposit may be collected before check-in.
- This entire amount is refunded within 5 working days, provided the total number of guests does not increase and the check-out time is adhered to.
